At Merley First School, all teachers continually monitor the progress of the children they teach. This information is used to tailor teaching to the children’s needs and to ensure everyone makes the best possible progress. Assessments will use a combination of observations, conferencing with children, feedback and testing to form a comprehensive picture of children’s achievements and next steps. Where appropriate, extra provision, such as targeted interventions, will be provided to support children in fulfilling their potential.
